Issue: OS Deployment failed:

-  PXE keeps rebooting after “preparing Network connection”. Errors: “reply has no message header marker”, “Failed to get client identity (80004005)”, “Failed to request for client”

- OSD Boot media cannot see TS

Resolution: Set correct time in BIOS!

I found the hint here. Thanks!

Thank you!!! Surely there can be a better error message in the SCCM log for this issue, suggesting to check the client date/time?????

Or better still, a method of synchronising the date/time with the SCCM or domain infra.?

Come on MS, sort it out, this has been an issue since SMS days and is a likely scenario for new mobile (battery powered) devices…….

    Quick fix:
Check the time and date on your client
Press F8 in WinPE, then type

    “time”
    and then
    “date”
(without quotes, to set time and date)

Or set the correct time and date in the BIOS/UEFI.
